Looking for the all important bacon!
Seeing the peanut butter and bacon at the back of the burger
When eating theย Peanut Butter, Bacon, Jalapeno Bigger Burger, I needed to take 3 bites into the burger, (and 1 big bite from my dining companion) in order to taste the savory mix of peanut butter, bacon and jalapenos.
My guess is that the toppings were dolloped towards the back of the burger when preparing but I was really expecting the first mouthful to be blasted with peanut butter, bacon and jalapeno. ย ( I like having the sense of umami engulf my tongue ).
I spoke with our server, Treena who mentioned that some folks said that they had too much peanut butter in their burgers; ย I said that mine was just a tad too little toppings of peanut butter, bacon and jalapenos… to truly make it a show stopper.
The meat of the burger had that very delicious seared/grilled smell… even before I took a bite, I could smell the aromas of a well cooked piece of meat!
When I was finally able to combine all flavors I was seeking, Peanut Butter, Bacon and Jalapeno Pepper with the burger and bun, it was a delightful savory experience!! My only wish is that there were more Featured toppings on the meat.
My Baked Potato Poutine was very tasty but needed more gravy like my dining companion’s Santa Fe Poutine.
As we packaged up the remaining of our dinner to go, we spoke with Pam, the Manager on Shift who mentioned she placed extra gravy in our bag. ” I noticed you didn’t have enough gravy”
I was very impressed with Pam’s thoughtfulness in our Poutine vs Gravy ratios!
A pleasant experience at White Spot for our first foodie review in nearly 4 years ๐
